Thanks for trying the Osaurus for Windows beta! This is our first release for Windows, and your reports will shape what we fix and build next.
This category is the place to report Windows bugs and share feedback.
Getting the beta
Use the Microsoft Store link in your beta invite email.
Requirements
- Windows 11, on x64 or ARM64
- 16 GB RAM minimum (32 GB recommended)
- About 20 GB of free disk space
- To run local models, a GPU with 12 GB or more of VRAM (NVIDIA, AMD or Intel)
You don’t need a strong GPU to get started. Osaurus sets you up with Osaurus Cloud during onboarding, including complimentary credits and no sign-up. You can add local models later in Settings.
What’s in this beta
This first beta covers the core of Osaurus: agents, chat, local models and cloud providers, the local API for other developer tools, and agents that can run commands and work with your files with your permission.
Some macOS features aren’t in the Windows beta yet, memory among them. We’re adding them over time.
Reporting a bug
- Search first. If someone has already reported it, add your details and a like to their topic instead of opening a new one.
- Open one topic per issue in Windows Beta. The new topic form starts with a template. Please fill it in, especially the steps to reproduce and your Osaurus version.
- Add screenshots or logs if you have them, and remove API keys, tokens and personal information before posting.
- Watch your topic. We may ask follow-up questions.
When a reply fixes your problem, mark it as the solution so the next person can find it.
Other feedback
- General impressions, including what you like, what confuses you and what feels slow: post in Windows Beta with the
feedbacktag. - Ideas for new features: Feature Requests.
- How-to questions: Support, tagged
windows.
